The New York section of this list duplicates the Film Festivals in New York City. A redirect from the latter list would redirect readers to the New York section. — WiseKwai 06:45, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Promotional guff

[edit]

Folks, the gushing, promotional stuff in the notes column has to go. This is not the place to promote your festival. In fact, what are the inclusion criteria here? Blue links only?--ukexpat (talk) 19:06, 18 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Defining Notability

[edit]

Just for clarity, can we define the criteria for what makes and doesn't make this list? There's also the question of why this list exists. There is a larger, more carefully curated list at List of film festivals. I feel that if this list continues to exist at all it could be used as a place to include newer film festivals that don't make the criteria of notable, possibly in a non-notable section. If this list is identical in criteria and standards to the main list, it may be worth discussing a full merge. Baumergrl (talk) 21:10, 27 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I would agree to merge the lists. This is organized slightly differently, but there is no need for a list which duplicates info in the target. The criteria for inclusion in both articles, per consensus, is that they have their own Wikipedia page. Onel5969 TT me 23:05, 27 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
