Vietnam War Remnants Museum
[edit]The Vietnam War Remnants Museum (AKA The Museum of human rights violations and war crimes atrocities American and French forces committed in Vietnam) has wreckage of a B52. Might be worth mentioning. I saw it there about 5 years ago, but didn't take note of the serial number or anything like that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.240.61.2 (talk) 04:11, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

List of displayed Boeing B-52 Stratofortress → List of displayed Boeing B-52 Stratofortresses – It's grammatically wrong. I'm also not so sure about the "displayed" part; 53-0379 just "sits on the edge of Rogers Dry Lake", and 57-0119 was blown up. Note: it's move-protected: see Wikipedia:Help desk#A moving experience for background. Clarityfiend (talk) 06:43, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
- Support. Aside from the logic of the thing, all the parallel lists, such as List of surviving Boeing B-17 Flying Fortresses, seem to use plural for the names of the aircraft. The original reason for "displayed" was that some B-52s were still operational, and those were being omitted from the list; so "surviving" was changed to "displayed" in the title. Like you, I'm not sure what a better alternative would be—is decommissioned used of aircraft or just of ships? Deor (talk) 09:52, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
- Support not sure why we need a RM as it is unlikely to be opposed as it needs to match other articles in Category:Lists of surviving military aircraft which are all plural. Just to note that "Displayed" is used when aircraft are still operational and "Surviving" when they have gone out of service. Strictly speaking training airframes and others not actually displayed should not be included in the article when it is a "List of Displayed" but normally get added when it is a "List of Survivors". - MilborneOne, an RM seemed advisable mostly because you yourself changed plural "Stratofortresses" to singular "Stratofortress" when you moved the page on 27 June 2010 (with the summary "Moved to match related article", presumably referring to the change from "B-52" to "Boeing B-52" rather the change from plural to singular). If that was just a goof-up, perhaps we could short-circuit the process here if you simply moved the article yourself. Deor (talk) 12:08, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
- OK I have moved it as it was my mistake when I added the "Boeing" to the title. MilborneOne (talk) 12:11, 1 December 2015 (UTC)

B-52G 58-0232
[edit]This aircraft is missing from the list. When Chanute AFB closed, the Fire Rescue T..raing B-52 there was no longer in Use. The nose and cfew stations was salvaged before the rest of the plane was destroyed. It was sent to Randolf AFB to convert to a trainer for fire rescue training aid. Some time later it was considered surplus and aquired by the museum in Big Springs Texas, and is on display and can be visited, inside and outside/ 97.126.67.55 (talk) 07:32, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
Addition to the list
[edit]there was a b52 on display next to the USS Alabama when I was there a few years ago. I can't imagine it's been moved. Does anybody know? 130.45.73.155 (talk) 03:20, 29 July 2023 (UTC)
