Safety
[edit]Many of these currencies have not yet seen widespread usage. Bitcoin developer Gavin Andresen has expressed the concern that the bitcoin based systems may be scams.[1] And, as with Digital_currency#Safety, I will be quite unhappy if you go around removing this information without discussing it first. Half of them are scams, and the others are run by people who don't know what they -are doing. I think we are doing a grave mis-service to all users not to warn them of this fact.
- Firstly, see my post at Talk:Digital_currency. Secondly, I don't think any information on safety (or much information at all for that matter) belongs on this page, this page is simply meant to be a list of all digital currencies (to avoid making the main page too big), not an article describing digital currencies in depth. It should only really have a line or two linking to the main digital currency page, and the list. Cliff12345 (talk) 22:05, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
