[edit]Is it in the spirit of this article to include places named for ancient persons for whom no other evidence exists?
Also, places with –ing– are named not for the root person directly but for the tribe or family – the Buckings, the Snotings – of which that person was the (possibly legendary) eponymous founder. —Tamfang (talk) 01:18, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
