Etymology
[edit]The chart has an Etymology column but it is blank. Any plans to fill in it? Pfly (talk) 20:58, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
map
[edit]Why does this article, along with various others, use a map which doesn't actually label the counties? It's very irritating, especially since most states use the official census map which does give labels. john k (talk) 16:07, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
Additionally, what exactly is outlined on that map there in the middle of Guilford County? It isn't the city limits of Greensboro. It's odd. Thehappysmith (talk) 14:32, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
NC-SC split
[edit]The date of the "official split" is given as 1729 in this article. There was no official split. In fact, historians disagree on the exact date of any split that occurred (see, e.g. http://www.carolana.com/Carolina/thesplit.html) This deserves clarification or at least a citation. Blank County?
[edit]Gambler Ed Walls was supposedly born in Blank County, North Carolina. Is/was this a real county? If so, please add it.--Auric talk 19:03, 13 February 2013 (UTC)
- There has never been a "Blank County" in North Carolina. My guess is that someone used it as a placeholder and it stayed. 5minutes (talk) 21:00, 13 February 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks. That was my thought too.--Auric talk 21:49, 13 February 2013 (UTC)

County Count Corrected
[edit]NC only has 100 counties (and the table lists them correctly), but the text and info box said 101. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.136.157.74 (talk) 12:20, 19 July 2019 (UTC)
