DELETE ABSTENTIONS AND FOR VOTERS

[edit]

This list purports to be a list of opponents to the Iraq War. It includes members who voted FOR the war, as well as those who ABSTAINED. In the halls of power, silence is presumed to be consent, not dissent. This should remain only a list of people who actually voted AGAINST the war. I have not yet made changes, and would like to have discussion on the matter.

Perhaps it should have a new category? List the people who voted against, then include a second section of those who abstained or voted for, and later expressed regret or dissention? To just carry a list of these names without distinction is misleading, and potentially goes against both the spirit and word of Wikipedia guidelines.

I would say that "a clear stand against" is not indicated by abstention or for votes. (Bainst (talk) 21:40, 20 January 2021 (UTC))[reply]
