This is meant to become a comprehensive list of concrete and visual poets. Please feel free to add names of those writers and artists actively working in this area. For a definition of concrete and visual poetry, please take a look at the Concrete Poetry Wikipedia entry.

Thanks so much Matthew and Paul for helping the list! Jesse

Rounding out nicely in only a few days! 9/12/2006.

If there are no articles on these people in red, are they real, is someone just making up names?? I will be deleting the dead red links and moving them to the discussion page until such time as someone writes a legitimate article. WayneRay (talk) 16:47, 16 August 2008 (UTC)WayneRay[reply]

Dear Mr. WayneRay, Did you happen to Google any of those "dead links"? Here is another case of ignorance strutting its stuff at Wikipedia. I throw my hands up in despair. Jesse —Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.151.64.61 (talk) 08:27, 24 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It is not up to me to Google any of these. The point being is that whomever added the link should have written or composed a real article (which would show up in blue) as it stands only three have been updated so far. Any one can make up a name and add it to a list, it will show up in red and won't make it real or knowledgable WayneRay (talk) 14:04, 27 October 2008 (UTC)WayneRay[reply]
It's ok to have people on a list who do not have Wikipedia entries provided a reference to a reliable source is provided verifying their notability with an inline citation. SpinningSpark 23:47, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Notability only through the web seems to be a bit strange. There are Anthologies (Solt, Williams etc.), and tons of stuff has been writen on the subject: no need at all to rely on the net alone (although it is nice to have at least some proof that somebody actually does exist somewhere. But: being mentioned or not being mentioned here cannot be a valid test to see if someone is a known, interesting, important poet or not.--Radh (talk) 07:24, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
