qkm.exe

My Windows PC was recently attacked by a virus (a trojan horse, probably inadvertently downloaded from a malicious website) that installed itself as the executable qkm.exe, which then proceeded to modify as many system executables as possible, to the point of making all clickable icons do nothing but pop up a fake "Windows Anti-Virus" window. Does anyone know the official name for this virus? — Loadmaster (talk) 20:18, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of viruses from list

I have undertaken a deletion of redlinks from this list which has greatly reduced its size.

This has been done to increase the validity of the information contained within this page.
