[edit]Providence should be added back to this list. It is the very definition of a dramedy.

[edit]I think some of these shows shouldn't be on here, they don't even list that their a comedy-drama. I did edited some of the show they list comedy-drama. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.72.29.109 (talk) 01:53, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
Should this page exist?
[edit]Many of these easily fit into one category or another. E.g., classic comedies like The Office and traditional dramas like Breaking Bad or Angel.
I'm going to remove several of the most obvious incorrect classifications. I'm not sure this page should exist at all, and it's certainly incorrect and lacks any citations at the moment. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gerweck (talk • contribs) 08:09, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
- I definitely agree that entries need to be properly referenced; what seems to me to be happening here is that people will add any "single-camera with no laugh track" comedy at all, even if it's not particularly dramatic, and any drama series that happens to occasionally have a funny moment. I don't think we necessarily need to jump straight to deletion, though; we should take the opportunity to at least attempt to salvage the page first, specifically by referencing each entry to a reliable source which explicitly describes the show as a comedy-drama or a dramedy. I've started adding a number of such references, though I certainly don't intend to tackle the whole list by myself in one shot. And, of course, any show that can't be so referenced gets removed. That said, I'm not opposed to deletion down the line if referencing doesn't fix the problem. It all really reflects poor understanding of the term rather than inherent invalidity; before the early 2000s, one-cam-no-can was admittedly a hallmark of true dramedy rather than pure sitcom, though that's obviously not true anymore. - I totally disagree. Dramedy or comedy-drama is a useful label for identify tv series. The series that I love are a mix of these two feelings. It is lot more realistic and pleasant such a combination. I find drama or comedy quite boring and unsatisfying. There is fundamental difference between a series like Ally McBeal and 24. Sorting
[edit]I suggest to rewrite the list as a table to exploit sorting. MicheleDorigatti (talk) 21:43, 12 April 2013 (UTC)
Agreed
[edit]Good to see more people questioning the validity of these examples and of the page itself. The West Wing and Arrested Development on one same page as "comedy-dramas" is something out of this world. I won't edit it, but, please, someone could either remove the page completely or severely change it to reflect the title. Desperate Housewives, Californication and Ally McBeal - yes. But Brothers & Sisters? Community? Parenthood? That's just ludicrous. - 187.20.71.73 (talk) 19:38, 21 July 2014 (UTC)
