question...

[edit]

I can't figure out why I can no longer sort on the column with the voting results -- not being able to do so seriously degrades the value of the table. Geo Swan (talk) 15:47, 18 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notability missing in lead paragraph

[edit]

I see that editors have expended a lot of time on this list. Please could someone explain why it is notable and how it qualifies under Wikipedia's notability guidelines? Wikipedia:Notability (events) says: Many events receive coverage in the news and yet are not of historic or lasting importance. The Manual of Style and Wikipedia:Lists suggest that even lists should have a lead section that explains their notability. Thanks. --Bejnar (talk) 17:48, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Being a national election, which we have an article on as a matter of course, and this election was a well covered one with notability easily established. A quick search show significant discussion of the candidates in the election [1] and a list of those candidates is certainly valid. Davewild (talk) 21:23, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Vote results

[edit]

The site http://www.ourcampaigns.com/RaceDetail.html?RaceID=488927 lists different tentative results than Sabawoon, the site used in the article currently. The candidates are in essentially the same order, but the also-rans who scored on the order of less than 1 percent of the popular vote all seem to have been credited with a greater number of votes by a factor of two or three.

Strange.

[2] also says these are not certified results. We need th official , certified results. Geo Swan (talk) 15:32, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

images

[edit]

The Pajhwok Afghan News provided "contender biographies" of 21 candidates: [3]

They also provided candidate photos and images of their party symbols. http://www.pajhwokelections.af/presidential_nominees.php
