Started list
[edit]Started list. Split from The King's Speech. I plan to add citations in the next few days. Opinions about whether the awards should be split into categories (as in List of accolades received by The Social Network or List of accolades received by Up in the Air) is very welcome. This article should also be check to see if it is up-to-date. — Andy W. (talk • contrb.) 03:25, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
- I don't think splitting is necessary, List of accolades received by Up in the Air looks fine without it. Btw, the British Independent Film Award – The Richard Harris Award won by Bonham Carter should be removed from the list as it is a Life Achievement award, e.g. not necessarily related to her work in King's Speech. Artios Award
[edit]Hi! I noted the Artios Awards given by the Casting Society of America are not mentioned. --Sofffie7 (talk) 15:21, 7 January 2012 (UTC) http://www.castingsociety.com/component/content/article/42-artios-awards/171-2011-artios-award-nominees-and-winners
List changes on 6 March 2016 and 26 April 2016
[edit]@SchroCat: Hi, I was wondering about the reason you performed a reversion of the revisions that consolidated the awards name/date to avoid repetition. Bear in mind that I was not the one who made the edits.
I know that when this list was promoted to featured list (thanks to your great efforts!), the consolidation on the left was not in the article itself. However, the edits were simply undone without a summary. In my own opinion, however, the list looks less repetitive with the change, and was wondering if there was a particular reason for your reversion? Note List of accolades received by Up in the Air, a featured list with the consolidation on the left. — Andy W. (talk · contrib) 16:51, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
- It fails WP:ACCESS requirements. No sufficient reason was given for the consolidation, and such a large step away from the version that passed FL should probably have been discussed first. - SchroCat (talk) 16:55, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
- I'm not 100% inclined to agree that it does fail it, but thanks for elaborating anyway. Cheers — Andy W. (talk · contrib) 17:00, 26 April 2016 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: Request withdrawn (non-admin closure) — Andy W. (talk · ctb) 15:11, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
List of awards and nominations received by The King's Speech → List of accolades received by The King's Speech – It seems that most of the film accolades lists at Wikipedia:Featured lists § Awards have a "List of accolades received by" prefix, as opposed to "List of awards and nominations received by". The latter prefix is used by Television series award lists. For consistency, I suggest this article be moved to List of accolades received by The King's Speech. — Andy W. (talk · ctb) 17:17, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
- Pinging SchroCat, who worked heavily on this list, and Tim riley, who suggested "awards" at this article's second review. — Andy W. (talk · ctb) 17:18, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
- I'd be sorry to see the proposed change made. It seems to me to replace good, everyday words with a pretentious and slightly WP:PEACOCK term. I'm surprised to read that "accolade" is prevalent in the titles of similar articles, but if that's the case I'd advise against perpetuating and extending what seems to me rather a gushing and fancrufty term. Tim riley talk 17:40, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose. (edit conflict) Aside from the fact "accolades" is a mildly overly hyperbolic term, it just way too wispy-washy. A single review can be an "accolade", as can the comments of those exciting the cinema. The title used here is accurate and unambiguous in a way the proposed one is not. There are titles similar to both variants, as far as I am aware, and WP:OSE is as much for as against. – SchroCat (talk) 17:42, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks. Just to clarify, I don't feel too strongly about "accolades", but I generally support consistency. This makes me wonder whether the 62 other FLs should go through an RM process then. — Andy W. (talk · ctb) 17:51, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
- Both forms of title are fine and co-exist. This is the only FL in this form, but it really makes no odds that it is slightly different. – SchroCat (talk) 18:19, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
- The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
