Refs needed
[edit]Hello folks! We need some refs here, someone keeps just arbitrarily removing sections, so it's best if we can add some refs to stop that happening. The Rambling Man (talk) 20:24, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
Yes, I think this is an important article for actor accolades and if anything would be worth getting up to FL status. To delete it is just poor editing and essentially vandalism.♦ Dr. Blofeld 20:29, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
- Nothing arbitrary at all. WP:BLP still applies to Hoffman, and WP:BURDEN applies to all editors. If you want to restore information that has been removed for being unsourced, then an inline citation is absolutely mandatory. Not optional at all.—Kww(talk) 20:32, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
- It's all been restored, good news! We have plenty of refs, which anyone could have found in two seconds, so plenty to go by. We have a tag asking for more refs, so any more blanking will taken as a sign of deliberate vandalism! By the way, claiming that "an inline citation is absolutely mandatory" is actually not mentioned anywhere in WP:BLP and WP:BURDEN. So please stop claiming that, it's a lie. By the way, I can see you have a taste for this, would you let me know which other lists you're going to destroy in your self-imposed challenge, just so I can spend two seconds finding the odd source? The Rambling Man (talk) 20:53, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
- I have challenged the veracity of the list, The Rambling Man, meaning that the requirements for needing inline citations have been met. You have not supplied sources for this material, by the way. A quick spot check shows that references for many of the awards still aren't there: Georgia and North Carolina, for example. Do not repeat this kind of behaviour: never restore challenged material to an article without an inline citation supporting your change.—Kww(talk) 20:57, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
- You're wrong. You have no policy backing your position. Never do this again. Stop edit-warring, stop removing the information, if you must, tag it, but stop doing what you're doing, it's really unhelpful. I'm trying hard to get some more refs in, and all you're doing is delete content. Honestly I've never seen anything so disruptive from such an editor. Has your account been compromised? Stepping in here to,repeat what I've written elsewhere: BLP does NOT apply here: PSH's death is not "recent" in the BLP sense. Yes, these things need to be sourced, but not deleted while the refs are being added. – SchroCat (talk) 22:48, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
