Scope
[edit]Does this list only cover the journalists prosecuted during the AKP period? There had been incarcerations of journalists in Turkey before that, after the 1980 coup etc., and it would be almost impossible to list all past prisoners here. --GGT (talk) 14:29, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
- I retract that statement with the latest source I have found. We do, however, have journalists that were detained (gözaltı) but not arrested (tutuklama) at the list at the moment (especially foreign journalists). This would truly be impossible to list unless we're engaged in extensive original research or (maybe) have access to all newspapers published since the 1920s. --GGT (talk) 15:22, 30 December 2016 (UTC)

Several detentions of the same journalists
[edit]How shall we proceed with journalists that have been detained several times. I have tried to include both detention dates but this looks sort of confusing. I thought we could write the dates of the current detention and release and include a phrase concerning the number and durance of past detentions in the background info column. What do you think? Split the list in the two sections currently arrested/released?
[edit]I am updating the article and noticed that there were many Journalists arrested in Turkey. The list is now rather long. What do you think if we make a section of currently arrested journalists and an other one with the released journalists in the same article? Best, Lean Anael (talk) 17:30, 11 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Lean Anael: I think that is a great idea! Sbbarker19 (talk) 03:00, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
