Article should be renamed

This article must be renamed to “list of non-human animals in political office”, otherwise it must contain every human to ever hold a political office as well Maninacoffin (talk) 04:25, 8 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It's typically understood that "animal" refers to non-humans in contexts like this. See for example, List of animals awarded human credentials, List of animal actors, List of animals in the Galápagos Islands, etc. Specifying that the animals are non-human is unnecessary because that's how most readers understand the context anyways.
