I am removing the city of Taganrog from this list for the following reasons:
First of all, Ukraine never existed until Russian Revolution. Secondly, the city of Taganrog was included into the newly formed Ukrainian SSR for a brief period and only in late 1920. Third: on February 26, 1920 the Military Revolutionary Commission issued the order number 46, closing five foreign consulates that were open in Taganrog at that time (Spanish, Greek, Belgian, Danish and Swedish Consulates).[1] I have a photocopy of that document from our local branch of the State archive. Other consulates were evacuated along with Denikin's troops by the British destroyer "Montrose" on Boxing Day 1919.ISasha (talk) 08:32, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
