Legend...?

[edit]

Trying to understand the table, but don't see a legend.

  • Does anyone know what the use of bold for 19 of the first 20 airports under "Airport name" is supposed to signify?
  • What are the abbreviations under "Role"? I guess "GA" is General aviation. But what are "P-N", "P-L", "P-S" and "R"?
  • For what does "Enpl." stand?

I can add a legend or class up the table, but I don't know enough. Thanks for any clues. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 07:14, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Well, for Role I've finally realized that "CS" is "Commercial Service", and "R" must indicate "Reliever". But the other abbreviations are still unknown to me. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 07:18, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Reversion to "original format", October 2020

[edit]

@Reywas92: The reversion on 23 October 2020 could have been preceded (ar at least accompanied) by a mention here of what problems were supposed to be fixed by that edit. It may well be that the table at List of airports in the United States is now "better", but the table here now violates (once more) WP:ACCESS (as do, apparently, the tables on the other states' pages).

Wouldn't the appropriate thing be to fix all of the states' airports pages "for consistency" and make them all WP:ACCESS-conform? — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 12:23, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Charlotte

[edit]

Just curious why Wend Valley merited a mention, but not Fitch H. Beach? I'd think that an airport with lots of traffic right on a main vehicle thoroughfare would make the general aviation list, but I admit to not knowing what qualifies, either. Catcassidy (talk) 01:31, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
