Why is RNAS Prestwick listed as a former air station. RNAS Prestwick, also known as HMS Gannet still maintain a presence at Prestwick with Sea King helicopters. Douglasnicol 19:54, 4 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My father has mentioned an Naval Air Station that had the name HMS Sea Eagle. Anyone have any idea what station that is/was? I'm aware there have been vessels by that name, but I'm talking of a land facility. Douglasnicol 22:27, 7 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

--- I believe HMS Sea Eagle was at one point or other the anti-submarine warfare centre? and that it was in Londonderry... Tintintintin 14:57, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I think it would be worhwhile cross-linking the RNAS air stations with their RAF or army successors... Tintintintin 14:57, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

sort former stations by UK counties

[edit]

The former stations really need sorting and separating into counties - in a similar manner to List of RAF stations#Former Royal Air Force Stations. Anyone up for it?? -- Teutonic Tamer 22:02, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
