Tha Bomb Squad

[edit]

I'm glad they finally got their own section, they have done a few mixtapes with Chip Banks before he died, as well as Dungeon Masta, and a few others. Their release T.B.S I don't think ever got released as an official album. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.58.221.223 (talk) 03:37, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bronze Nazareth and the Wiseman

[edit]

I think bronze should have his own page that doesn't redirect here, he's an established artist now with two albums that have done well for an indie album. Also, his second album "The Wiseman" needs to be added, cause they're not mentioned at alll. Think Differently should have it's own page also. Pretty much this page is stupid because alot of these guys deserve their own pages. Someone random guy can get his own page, but every artist who ever had wu connections has to redirect to a huge page where they only get a little paragraph.

Keep the page as a list, but yeah they should get their own page.
there's already a Bronze Nazareth and a Wisemen article. although the Wisemen one should very probably go back to being just a paragraph on this page for now. there's virtually nothing in it. tomasz. 17:35, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Redman

[edit]

What about Redman?

He isn't actually affiliated, just a frequent collaborater of method man. ReverendG 02:43, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

now now he did appear on the W. not many non wu artists appeared on wu albums at he time —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.190.163.146 (talk) 04:38, 3 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

true, but that doesn't make him an affiliate. Nas and Snoop were on The W too. are they Wu-Tang affiliates? tomasz. 09:01, 3 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dreddy Kruger: racist?

[edit]

As a blatant whitey myself, i'm gonna have to question a little the bit of the article that says Dreddy Kruger has stated that he hates white people. Although he definitely says "I hate fucking crackers", isn't the line before it "I love black women and..."? [1] i think what he's saying is not really "I fucking hate white people" but specifically "I hate fucking white people". It's not a justification or anything, but i don't think he's saying that he hates white people outright, just not in his bed, as it were. Haven't heard the other track so can't comment on it. W guice 02:42, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm White,& I Wouldn't Be Suprised If I Hate The Same White People As He Does!

___

Why is there even a discussion about this? Chances are if he is a 5% one could easily substantiate that statement about hating "crackers" as he put it. ODB says in his first album something about going insane when he is surrounded by "devils" aka "white people" according to the 5% doctrine, and nobody's mentioning that!

Seperate entries for each artist

[edit]

I think seperate entries should be made for each artist. Do you agree/disagree?

wikisoul 19:29, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why not seperate this page by currently active and non active groups and MCs. There could also be a section for MCs and groups that are still active yet no longer Wu affiliated. I think the page as it is right now is too loose, it should be organized so you dont read about Wu-Syndicate or Gravediggaz while you read about Division or Northstar. We gotta keep it current.DaiKaiju Wicked 06:45, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Think Differently

[edit]

Think Differently has neither an entry on this page(though it is mentioned numerous times) nor its own page, which should probably be resolved. 69.115.231.177 06:06, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Break up page

[edit]

this page needs to be broken up. Alot of the real minor affiliates who arent active anymore, or never did much in the first place, dont need their own page. But there alot of artists on here who are established on their own outside of being wu fam and deserve a page of their own. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.55.157.117 (talkcontribs) 09:17, February 25, 2007

Affiliate Albums

[edit]

The Wu-Tang Discography page should include official Wu-Affiliated albums

Theodore Unit

[edit]

"weed carrying"????? This can be fixed

12 O'clock's upcoming album

[edit]

According to 12 O'Clock's myspace profile, he's releasing his first album this year. Shouldn't this be added? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 212.25.36.54 (talk) 16:18, 11 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

The future of this page

[edit]

In my opionion, a lot of these affiliates should have there own page and I have taken the liberty to move some of the paragraphs verbatim into their own pages and leaving links to the new page. Obviously, with some of the names on this list there is hardly enough information to create a stub even. These are often members of groups and their pages could redirect to the groups page instead. I think this page should be more of a list of links and maybe some information like members in a certain group. It should contain the same links as Category:Wu-Tang Clan affiliates except sorting in a more relevant way. Also, almost all of these paragraphs are poorly written and need to be cleaned up, expanded and wikified once moved.

Jojo Pellegrino

[edit]

Why is "Jojo Pellegrino" redirecting to this page when this page doesn't even MENTION him? 124.181.209.160 (talk) 09:35, 27 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Misc

[edit]

Someone provide proof that Jojo Pellegrino was signed to Ghostface's label, and that he is a WuTang affilliate, or I will take that down. I highly doubt that it is true.

Wow! Great job. I'm glad you took this project on as your own... I could never have done as thorough a job. I'll do all I can to improve it, though. Thanks again. jglc | t | c 13:57, 11 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Harlem 6 Page

[edit]

This is the editor of the Harlem 6's own article, I was wondering if you could provide me with help as to how to redirect our users directly to our article, as coming to this article first would prove to be a sort of "speed-bump". I know it has something to do with the redirect tag; however, I am at a loss where to apply the tag. Any help and/or criticism is much appreciated, thanks. 130.215.168.90 (talk) 04:36, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

New article needed for "Doc Doom" [R.I.P.]

[edit]

Obviously, a separate article (or at least a separate paragraph!) is needed for rapper "Doc Doom" (R.I.P.).

Inevitably, there is some confusion with "MF Doom" (who has now dropped the "MF" to go by "DOOM" in 2009) --who is still alive and rapping.

"Doc Doom" is on a bunch of Wu-Tang tracks, working at length with RZA, and the circumstances of his death seem to be very badly reported (newspapers just say he was shot shortly after he got out of jail).

I'd really appreciate it if the rap insomniacs at Wikipedia could pull some of the facts together here, or at least start up an article for the rest of us to contribute to.

EM0 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.232.244.226 (talk) 16:41, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

i don't think there's actually been any confusion with Daniel Dumile (who changes his aliases about as often as his socks anyway). Doc Doom is covered under Black Knights. tomasz. 22:03, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Is R.A. the rugged man an affiliate?

[edit]

Rugged man has worked with Wu-Tang numerous times. According to [2] Killah priest and Masta Killa were featured on his song "Chains" and rugged man had a cameo in Masta Killa's "Old Man" as can be seen on [3]. Rap examiner (talk) 23:34, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

yes. Someone should add him. Along with Snoop Dogg and Sheek Louch. -220.245.253.81 (talk) 07:14, 20 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
R.A. is not an affiliate, although has collaborated with them. I think a clear distinction needs to be made between those who "fly under the Wu-Tang banner," and those who have simply collaborated with them. Snoop Dogg is most certainly NOT an affiliate of the Wu, under any possible definition.

No entry for Da Manchuz?

[edit]

Apparently a spin-off of a spin-off, there is currently no mention anywhere on Wikipedia of _Da Manchuz_.

I'm guessing they were somehow a spin-off of the Brooklyn Zu clique/fragments.

If their details aren't appropriate here (as Wu Tang affiliates) they should be mentioned somewhere on Wikipedia (Brooklyn Zu affiliates? ODB affiliates?).184.169.61.89 (talk) 00:38, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

King Just

[edit]

I could be wrong about this, but I believe that King Just was NOT an affiliate of Wu-Tang. I remember in about '94-'95 there was a lot of talk that he was just mentioning "Shaolin" because he was drifting behind the success of the Wu. (Although "Warrior's Drum" is a phenomenal single.) I think this needs to be verified.--Bill shannon (talk) 19:18, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Warghosts

[edit]

Should we add the Warghosts project on this site? It was initiated by Holocaust and Bomshot and I think there are Warghosts in Oregon, Washington, South Africa and Germany now. Well, Germany I know, kind of, because I meat them at some party this weekend.

Here is an interview about the project: http://wu-international.com/misc_albums/Interviews/Warghost_Interview.htm There are also some Facebook pages and Warghosts Germany has a website. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Action Boo (talkcontribs) 08:09, 23 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Comedian Godfrey?

[edit]

The comedian Godfrey https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Godfrey_(comedian) is a Wu-Affiliate, using Mystery of Chessboxin in his podcast intro, utilizing a Wu-stylized logo and regularly wearing wu-wear and claiming membership in interviews and public appearances. This has been co-signed/confirmed by Method Man. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLtMcnZkp8U

Only reason I haven't added him to this page is that I see mostly Rappers/singers... so i'll leave the decession to the ppl that moderate the page as to whether a non-music affiliate goes on the list. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.95.43.252 (talk) 01:03, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Associated Acts

[edit]

Associated acts should be removed.

this article is specific to wu tang affiliates. MF DOOM/Busta Rhymes are not a wu tang affiliate!!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.39.154.82 (talk) 17:41, 7 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The HRSMN

[edit]

The supergroup (consisting of Killah Priest, Canibus, Ras Kass, and Kurupt) is surely a Wu affiliate. Bronze Nazareth has produced some of their beats, such as Centaurs[1]. Ras Kass also stated in a 2011 interview that RZA would be executive producing an album for them[2] (although that seems scrapped, as the Last Ride is the group's final album, according to an interlude on that album).
