External Link and Advert Tags
[edit]I added the external link and advert tags. In case anyone disagrees with their placement, I'd like to state my case.
WP:EL's first sentence states that "articles may include links to web pages outside Wikipedia (external links), but they should not normally be used in the body of an article." Furthermore, Wikipedia is not a directory or catalog. Clearly, based on both of these guidelines, these external links should not exist.
I don't normally add the advert tag in conjunction with the external link tag but this case is the most excessive use of external links I've ever seen in my 7 years of editing Wikipedia. Therefore, per WP:LINKSPAM, I feel that the advert tag is warranted until the external links are removed. This even more warranted, given that the external links direct users to the podcast itself. Marc Maron could function without an official website if the article stays the way it is. WCS100 (talk) 21:23, 13 January 2014 (UTC)

Merger of "Other Episodes" with main episodes
[edit]As the templates are now too long and the "Other Episodes" is in error state, should we merge these in with the main episodes list chronologically? Mclarge90 (talk) 08:20, 28 June 2019 (UTC)
This article is so big it is causing technical problems
[edit]See Category:Pages where template include size is exceeded for technical details.
Common solutions that apply to lists like these include:
- Splitting the article
- Replacing calls to templates or modules with Wikipedia table markup and manually applying any categorization or other things that the templates or modules do.
Templates and modules are very useful, so it might be better to split this article. I would recommend "2000s and 2010s" in one article, 2020 and beyond in another.. On the other hand, there's something to be said for having everything in one place.
If the article is split, be sure to use {{copied}}, {{split article}}, or a similar template on BOTH this article's talk page and the new article's talk page to comply with Wikipedia's attribution policy. See Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia#Merging and splitting for details.
Other than temporary fixes to get the page down to less than 2MB, changes should be discussed first. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 20:09, 11 February 2020 (UTC)
