Naming convention

[edit]

I miss the description who and how new professors are named. Also I miss the description of the philosophy behind the "titles", I mean the title include a notable person's name for a specific area. Eg. the Carl H. Pforzheimer University title is for "a scholar in the humanities or quantitative social sciences who has a significant interest in libraries, books, and texts of all kinds". I failed to find any information about these on Harvard's webpage. JSoos (talk) 09:42, 16 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
