Not know what to do with possible district error in Congressional chart. Please help.

[edit]

Reporting a possible error in Wikipedia <http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/List_of_United_States_Representatives_from_Virginia>

Section of names beginning with the letter H, Hungerford, John Pratt.

Discrepancy:

VA Political Graveyard shows his service was for Virginia's 8th District in 1811 & 1813-15, then his service was for 9th District from 1815-17. Wikipedia chart shows his service almost the same, only with service for the period 1813-17 all representing the 9th District.

Website of Virginia Political Graveyard <http://politicalgraveyard.com/geo/VA/WM.html#REK0UD4NF> for Hungerford Cemetery, Leedstown, Westmoreland County, Virginia

Under heading Politicians buried here: John Pratt Hungerford (1761-1833) — of Virginia. Born in Virginia, 1761. Democrat. Member of Virginia state legislature; U.S. Representative from Virginia, 1811, 1813-17 (8th District 1811, 1813-15, 9th District 1815-17). Died in 1833. Interment at Hungerford Cemetery. See also: congressional biography.

So, please excuse me for not being familiar with this process, & unable to establish just what to do with this discrepancy. Someone familiar with this process, who knows how to move toward final verification or correction, might decide that it is the Virginia Political Graveyard website that is in error, in which case, is it a courtesy among historians to report that to the webmaster there?

Great thanks to anyone who can help tidy up this matter. A small detail, however as someone wrote, accuracy in small details is the point of an encyclopedia.
