US News Updates

[edit]

I noticed that someone updated the page to include the information from the Latest US News and World Reports rankings, however they labelled it as the 2008 rankings when it is in fact the 2009 rankings. I've changed it to reflect that. Walbe13 (talk) 10:53, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for doing that. I updated the information and noted that the URL was still appropriate, but I did not notice that the year needed to be updated from 2008 to 2009. Thanks, Alanraywiki (talk) 12:35, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Picture groupings

[edit]

I appreciated the attempt to group pictures. However, I not only thought it looked worse but also grouped some pictures nonsensically. The WSJ grouping made some sense (but three pictures grouped was a bit much), but the other pairs didn't make sense, and UChicago was not grouped. I think to be impartial and to look nice, it should remain as is. --Eustress (talk) 16:22, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, Tony updated the groupings and it looks better, but I'm still not sure Columbia should be singled out. --Eustress (talk) 17:09, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please update 2009's Business Week Rankings

[edit]

Hello everyone. I have a request. Currently 2008 Business Week rankings are showing. Could you please update with 2009 rankings? There are some substantial changes in Business Week with universities that go up and down the ladder. Furthermore, even though it is arguable, at least internationally Business Week's rankings are the most aknowledged ones. You can get the rankings from http://www.businessweek.com/bschools/rankings/. Thank you!--sulmues (talk) 21:50, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • The rankings listed on the page are identical to the rankings given at the business week website. That would mean that BW has not updated their rankings for 2009 yet or they are identical to 2008. In any event, the page and the website are in conformance with one another. If you notice BW changes the rankings, you may want to update the page. Vantelimus (talk) 09:58, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rankings section

[edit]

The Rankings section in the article lists rankings from several commercial sources. As per my knowledge, this content is copyrighted, and cannot be classified as GFDL or public domain: these lists are not merely alphabetic listings of colleges (see Feist v. Rural). The publishers of these lists have invested time, money and other resources in coming up with the criteria for these rankings. The article should probably just link to ranked lists on external websites. utcursch | talk 12:09, 9 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
