Episode views
[edit]@AlexTheWhovian: I consider you an "episode list expert" and thought I'd ask your opinion on something. I of course also welcome comments from MSMRHurricane or anyone else. Basically, this list has a separate section for viewing numbers, which I sort of like and sort of don't like. Here goes:
- Are these numbers appropriate for the list at all, since they are ever-changing? I've looked through a few lists in Category:Lists of web series episodes and have yet to find any others that cite viewers. Have you come across anything like this elsewhere? The list and the main article cite the viewers for the first episode in the prose as a matter of interest, which seems appropriate. I'm personally somewhat interested in this info for all episodes, and some editors seem willing to periodically update them, but I'm not sure if they "belong".
- If the numbers are kept, I'm thinking that adding them to the main episode tables would be cleaner, since most of the info in the current viewer tables is redundant. I know we like our episode tables to be stable, but the list itself will never be anyway, if the viewership stays. I would also want cite every one with a link back to the episode's YouTube page.
Thanks! — TAnthonyTalk 21:03, 24 June 2017 (UTC)
- @TAnthony: I personally don't mind the numbers of viewer-ship for the episodes to be present, nor do I mind if they are not present, since they are ever changing and will never come to be stable. I really don't have a problem with either solution. Adding them to the episode tables like other TV show episode tables - I'm guessing you're meaning? - would be cleaner, but updating the numbers in those tables would be more of a hassle - IMO. However, like I said, I don't mind either solution. I'll keep updating the current seasons viewing numbers when I can, but I wouldn't mind if they were to be removed seeing as they aren't really needed. Cheers! - Yeah, I'm thinking the viewing numbers are a bit much in this case.— TAnthonyTalk 14:18, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
