Criteria
[edit]I'm not clear on what criteria are used to define a designated hitter in terms of this award, since some teams rotate the role. Is there a minimum number of games requirement? And does only production while playing DH count? (as opposed to their batting performance when playing as a position player?) Say someone played 40 games as a DH, batting .400, and played 100+ games at first base, batting 0.200, would they win the award? --Jameboy (talk) 22:00, 16 August 2013 (UTC)
