Russian explorers not on the list

[edit]

It seems the following Russian explorers are minor ones and/or have not enough illustrative material to include them on the list. However, if the articles on them are expanded they may be also included into the list.

Split proposal

[edit]

This article is really two articles joined at the hip: History of Russian exploration (currently a section redirect back here), and List of Russian explorers. They would each benefit by having their own article. This article should just be a list article, and could be expanded with some of the #Russian explorers not on the list from the section above.

As a secondary benefit, that would also solve the awkward situation currently with the Table of Contents recently introduced with the new subsection headers to help organize the History section. Mathglot (talk) 00:51, 21 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Mathglot: Your assessment is entirely correct, even three and a half years later :) I'd say go ahead and split! Lennart97 (talk) 13:00, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
