Special Counsel or Pennsylvania Two
[edit]There seems to be some mention in the media of Jay O. Sanders' character, Special Counsel, being called Pennsylvania Two. To date, he has never been referred to by name, Special Counsel being his official title, and with one exception ("No Good Deed" from season one) the CBS press releases for the episodes in which he appears list his character's name as Special Counsel. It appears that, at one time, the writers intended to use it, but have subsequently changed the character's name. When I organized the main article's character list, I added the character, and at the time, looked for a reliable source the name Pennsylvania Two was still accurate. The only references I can find is on the fan wiki, IMDB and TV.com, v. the season two CBS press releases (including the one for his most current appearance) using Special Counsel. CBS is obviously far more reliable, and Pennsylvania Two should not be used until such time as it's used on camera, or unless a reliable source can be found documenting that it is still the character's name (and that's going to have to be a good one to outweigh the reliability of the network source.) --Drmargi (talk) 17:57, 26 February 2013 (UTC)
Extreme over-reliance on Pedia of Interest (Wikia)
[edit]I've noticed, worryingly, that probably 95% of the content on this page, save headings, has been taken verbatim from Wikia's Pedia of Interest fansite (the majority of the rest coming from the cast list in the main article.) That gives us content written to the standard of a fan page, riddled with factual errors, speculation and original research. That's bad enough on its own, but not the major problem. All of the Wikia content is sourced back to the original episodes (with unformatted sourcing), thus representing the content as being the writing of the editor posting it. While Wikia content is available under CC-by-SA license, appropriate attribution has to be made, and that hasn't been done. Any way you slice it, that's plagiarism. I'm going to tag the article for now, but the copyright/plagiarism issues have got to be addressed, and the quality of the content presentation dramatically improved from fansite level or a lot is going to have to go. --Drmargi (talk) 18:51, 16 March 2013 (UTC)

Seriously?
[edit]There are two characters, named Samantha, who are female assassins who kill without remorse or feeling? I understand there are many differences between the characters, too, but I've never run into a TV show that had two characters who had the same first name, much less two major characters. Have the writers or showrunner ever remarked on this? Liz Read! Talk! 00:23, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
- Shaw's full first name is actually established as Sameen in multiple episodes and discussions by the writers, but the very first press release for her character named her "Samantha" and thus this debate: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Talk:Person_of_Interest_(TV_series)#Shaw.27s_name107.185.238.77 (talk) 04:38, 30 March 2014 (UTC)
Removed unreliable information on the dog
[edit]After reviewing the citation used for the uncredited dog, it is not a WP:RS, it is a pearsonal web page. I am removing the content until a valid citation is found indicating information about the dog and that the dog is a main character.AbramTerger (talk) 01:38, 24 October 2014 (UTC)
