It has been reported that scripts have been written for a follow up series to series 7.The sources I've found state there's no official confirmation that anything has been commissioned by the BBC and at least one implies the intent of the scripts are ambiguous. They could be for an eighth series, they could also be for a whole new show. For this reason, until there's a BBC statement confirming what is happening it is best not to include any of this information in the list of episodes because it could end up being wrong or misleading. I don't believe we should be adding (as some have) that a series has been confirmed, because that would be original research. I've amended a paragraph in the Not Going Out article to state what the source states but I feel it's pointless putting that here as adding the section titled series 8 is, in itself, original research. ~~ Peteb16 (talk) 20:29, 27 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The viewing figures quoted say they relate to the United States. Surely they should be for the UK, though? Indeed, the only ones with citations refer to UK data. Cybersub (talk) 11:05, 11 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
