If you look at Metroid Prime 2's Deathmatch you'll see a LAN option.
The official Timesplitters 2 website says there is no LAN for the gamecube version only PS2 and XBox. Also IGN, THe Metroid Wikipedia Page, and the official website all say there is no LAN for Metroid Prime 2. Remember LAN is different than multiplayer-Jedi6
