Does the Conservatory have a record of John Robert Carroll, where he earned a Master of Music Degree? Carroll was born in 1925 in Haverhill, MA. Later he was a Fulbright Scholar at Sorbonne University in Paris where he graduated in 1955 with a Docteur d'Universitie, Moving back to the United States, he became the director of The Gregorian Institute of America (now defunct), which was located at 2132 Jefferson Avenue in Toledo, Ohio. Known to friends as "Bob" Carroll, he sang in the Schola Cantorum in Queen of The Most Holy Rosary Cathedral in Toledo and eventually was hired as organist at St. Catherine's Church, St. Agnes Church, and later, Most Blessed Sacrament Church, all in Toledo. arts. Also he had a tenure at The University of Toledo where he taught music and fine arts. Also he taught music at Maumee Country Day School.

He was a composer of wedding music and wrote a symphony that was performed in Marion, Ohio. His compositions were signed "J. Robert Carroll". I knew Bob well during the 13 years I sang in the bass section of the men's choir at St. Catherine's Church. After that I lost track of him and his family.
