Alt-right figure Richard B. Spencer has expressed support for Bloomberg, stating “If you define your outlook with terms like “race realism” or express concern over “demographics,” then I must ask, unironically, is Mike Bloomberg not your man? While Trump brags about releasing minority criminals, Mike has a record of locking them up. Bloomberg’s entire reason for running is to maintain the status quo, another one of your expressed desires. Seriously, why not Mike?” (source: https://www.inquisitr.com/5894414/michael-bloomberg-richard-spencer/ and https://twitter.com/RichardBSpencer/status/1227067007067017217) Whether this expression of support counts as an "endorsement", I'm not entirely sure, but I lean towards yes. Anyways, the article is semi-protected and I can't edit it, but I think he should be added to the list. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Margretarson (talk • contribs) 02:19, 25 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Ruzihm and Baane247: Please see Wikipedia:ENDORSERFC. There actually is a criteria for whether endorsements should be included in a list articles such as this. Even if Spencer's rant met this criteria, then he should not be given WP:UNDUE weight. There's a section for "Authors, activists and journalists" which he falls under (as a white supremacist activist). –MJL‐Talk‐☖02:07, 5 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Since the Inquisitr article uses the term "endorsement", this likely meets ENDORSERFC. I've re-added it (noting that I haven't taken a look at this discussion before adding it). feminist (talk) 05:04, 5 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I thought the same thing to be honest. If it wasn't a white supremacist, I'd be inclined to just include it in the list. However, I'm wary since the Inquisitr isn't particularlyreliable. If someone wants to find another way of doing this, I'm all for it. We just have to be really careful here. –MJL‐Talk‐☖06:03, 5 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
If you're OK with my edit, I can reinstate it. I had doubts about Inquisitr too, but I think it's OK in this context as the only relevant information is its restating of Spencer's tweet, which isn't particularly contentious. feminist (talk) 10:46, 5 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
