Old discussions

[edit]

I'm trying to go through and place them from the ODNB. For some of them, I've put tentative listings based on family members, or made other notes. john k 04:55, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have Who's Who of British Members of Parliament, which is based on contemporary editions of Dod's Parliamentary Companion (which obtained information from the MPs themselves). It is pretty good at identifying almost all MPs. I also have Parliamentary Election Results in Ireland, 1801-1922, which provides full names and parties for the Irish members.--Gary J 14:28, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've gone through & removed all the spurious blue links to MPs on this page (there were quite a lot!), changing them as necessary to appropriately named redlinks or to the page they should point at. Dsp13 (talk) 09:04, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Party Labels

It makes sense to me to be as descriptive here as possible, rather than simply label an MP as Conservative or Liberal. Thus Irish, Whig, Radical and Peelite being used is helpfull. I have added some labels where they were blank using as reference, Dod's from 1856. Dod's refers to Peelite's as Liberal-Conservatives. Graemp (talk) 11:19, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
