Notorious Labrador Retrievers

[edit]

Despite thier normal tendency to be gentle dogs, some have shown a dangerous lack of sentitivity the pain and suffering of others, leading to some famous tragic events, especially to very old, very young, or incapacitated people. These incidents seem to start out with the dog playing or licking the victim, and then progresses to biting and tearing. When combined with the genes of pit-bull types, such mixes have killed people. Our readers should know about these incidents and not leave alone anyone who is not capable of getting away from an overly rough-playing, manic, hyperactive labrador which does not react properly to pain. In addition, the lab/pitbull mix has a record of mauling and killing much higher than would be statistically expected given their numbers.

  • One of the most notorious of such incidents, a black Labrador cross named Tania mauled Isabelle Dinoire's face when she was passed out on the floor. This led to a ground-breaking full-face transplant which led to world-wide reporting of the incident.
  • The dog that killed Megan Stack was a labrador retriever. It was January 21, 1988, when fatal attacks on humans by dogs were much more rare. Megan was two years old. [1]
  • On July 28, 2008, a six week old Lab puppy killed a two-month old Zane Earles. [2]. There appears to have been something seriously wrong with the parent/owner, who was jailed for neglect when it was found that she did next nothing to stop the puppy, who was much too bitey to play with a baby, from hurting the child, who eventually died of his wounds.
  • Brayden McCollen, another baby was killed by a "Labrador-mix".
  • Aiden McGrew, another bady, was killed by two lab/golden retriever mixes.
  • In the USA, at least three people have been killed by lab/pitbull mixes: Senior citizen Alice Bloom, and small children Isaiah Calandis Smith and Jose Dias.
  • Two-year old Ja'Marr Tiller was killed by a "lab/shephard mix".
