[edit]I have used the one colour to for all Sinn Féin TDs, both those elected in recent years and those elected in the 1918-23 period. Would it be clearer to use the SF colours for recent TDs and colour the early-centry TDs according to their final party affiliation ie Fianna Fáil anti-treaty and Fine Gael pro-treaty? -- Rye1967 23:55, Jun 18, 2005 (UTC)
Split the list of office-holders
[edit]The list of office-holders had become so large that it made editing this article very difficult. I have therefore split out the list of officers into a series of subpages:
- List of Irish politicians/Office holders, A–C
- List of Irish politicians/Office holders, D–G
- List of Irish politicians/Office holders, H–M
- List of Irish politicians/Office holders, N–Q
- List of Irish politicians/Office holders, R–Y
All these pages are transcluded into the main list, so it will continue to appear the same as before. However, the sub-lists are much easier to edit, being currently only 12KB to 20KB in size. This will make them much easier to maintain, and will hopefully lead to them being expanded. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 17:33, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit]After working on List of Ukrainian politicians I can honestly say: This article is in great shape! Congratulations editors who worked on it! — Mariah-Yulia • Talk to me! 00:43, 17 September 2010 (UTC)
List of lists
[edit]Hi there, I have converted this article to a list of lists as is common in other nationalities like Australian or German. The current format was unmaintainable since it basically consisted of every Irish politician in the last 1000 years! If you object to my boldness, please discuss it here.
