Tongva and Kizh Clarification[edit]

The map attached to this page indicates the Tongva nation as the indigenous group in the LA area. However, the text lists only the Kizh tribes. Tribal leaders should be consulted on how to distinguish Tongva and Kizh nations on the maps and in the text appropriately and respectfully. Kizh nation (http://gabrielenoindians.net/) indicates that Tongva is a historical misnomer. However, Tongva name does identify existing indigenous people organization (https://gabrielinotribe.org/) FlashNickel (talk) 00:33, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
