Problems with this page

[edit]

There are several problems with this page in the version that currently exists. Its very under referenced, War time football previously included has been removed despite being competitions Hearts entered and source-able. Official or unofficial competitions War time football was played and given Hearts history it is an important period. Ive not got the time to fix this all now but if not done will get around to it.Blethering Scot 16:48, 28 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You will have to add things like the Festival Cup and Tennents' Sixes as well then if you think the non-competitive war time leagues should be in an article where only the main competitions of modern professional football are listed.
Personally I think the page is fine as it is...
Also, all the competitions are linked to other pages on Wikipedia which have numerous references people can find if they feel the need for some reason.
Its not fine as it is. You removed valid and referenced content. And given Hearts History war football is rather important. Blethering Scot 18:35, 5 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hearts have a long and rather important History when it came to war football, these are important parts of the clubs history. You compare these to the Festival cup a preseason friendly. You removed it after had been part of the article for a long time without any real justification as comporting to pre season friendlies is hardly justification. It cant be denied that Hearts played seasons of football and competed in the war cups during this period.Blethering Scot 13:56, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hearts had more of a history during the Great War when there was no football whatsoever. Why, just because Hearts have a history in the war, should we include data which the SFL/SFA/SPL do not consider a part of their league history? The teams who won these leagues which were temporarily set up do not consider them to be major honours. The majority of other clubs' Wikipedia pages do not include this period, instead they correctly say that COMPETITIVE football was suspended because of the outbreak of the war. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lolm8 (talkcontribs) 14:56, 24 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
