Curious about the attribution eg of Wick District to Caithness and Tain District to Ross-shire: generally, and especially when first created, a district-of-burghs constituency grouped together burghs from several different counties. Laurel Bush18:19, 25 April 2006 (UTC).[reply]
Just noticed how the Western Isles constituency is associated with the county of Inverness. In fact, until 1975, when Scottish counties were abolished, the constituency straddled the boundary between the county of Inverness-shire and the county of Ross and Cromarty.
Also, I note the article seems to make no reference to post 1975 local government areas. Laurel Bush (talk) 11:48, 23 November 2007 (UTC).[reply]
