Opening credits

[edit]

I have no idea where to find a citation ... but ... there are the real opening credits and then there are the "syndication" credits. Most of the episodes in circulation today -- the DVDs, the Me-TV eps -- have the syndicated credits. These are the ones with no music and the collage of radio traffic. Collage? Yes, they are unrelated bits of Biophone traffic strung together to sound like a whole call. The video is mostly right, with the freeze-frame shots of the stars. Some of the episodes on Me have the original title sequence intact, mostly from the early seasons. Since the only copies around, on any media, are the syndicated ones how can I cite it? Did anyone record these in the '70s? :-) Needless to say, there are segments cut out of these episodes as well. --plaws (talk) 22:25, 31 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The credits mentioned above are from Season 6. They are the same as Season 5's opening, but with no iconic theme music. The versions aired on Netflix appear to run the original opening and are uncut70.182.191.108 (talk) 13:49, 23 December 2016 (UTC). Unfortunately, Netflix is dropping Emergency! on 1/1/17.[reply]

I've recently (2022) been watching Emergency! reruns on Cozi TV and have noticed that they seem to use the original opening sequences from the episodes. I've read many times at other sites that the syndicated versions all use the same opening, but this does not appear to be the case with Cozi's airings. So if you like to see the original opening sequences, they would seem to be one of the few choices that has what you want. (No, I'm not a shill for or employee of that network, just stating that not all the syndicated versions seem to use the same opening.) WavSlave (talk) 17:40, 19 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Protecting us from useful information

[edit]

I'd like to thank those of you who's holier than thou attitude protects me from useful information on Wikipedia. After all, why would I come here except to try to get useful information. For instance, I initially came to the page because it had notations on episodes that weren't on Netflex. Ah, but such USEFUL information has been deemed not useful by a Wiki-god who knows best. After all, a list of Emergency! episodes should apparently only contain a plot synopsis and everything else is to be flushed as useless. Thanks. *_* AstroNerdBoy (talk) 01:52, 15 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
