Season 6

Should There Be A Season 6? I Mean "May I have this Ed?" & "Look Before you Ed" Has Already Aired In Australia (January 25, 2008) CartoonSpot121 (talk) 21:20, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

That was the last episode of season 5. -- Elaich talk 21:22, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
No, Fistful Of Ed Was the Last Episode of Season 5. And CN Demanded 2 More Seasons, Season 5 and 6. CartoonSpot121 (talk) 22:04, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Every season of EEnE consists of 13 weeks. Until those episodes aired, Season 5 had only aired 12 weeks. Count it for yourself. Those episodes finished Season 5. At this time, there is no contract for a sixth season. -- Elaich talk 03:13, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Last two episodes of season 5 are actually season 6. Speeda psx (talk · contribs) 17:01, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
And the proof of this is where? -- Elaich talk 02:29, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
And where do you have proof that that is the rest of Season 5? My proof is here:The Proof, I even saw some interviews with Danny Antoucci saying that Season 6 was meant to be longer, but they then decided to make 2 episodes and the movie as the rest of season 6. Speeda psx (talk · contribs) 13:19, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
Then, cite where this interview can be watched for citation purposes. Also, we do not accept links here to fan sites, which are notorious rumor mills. This is an encyclopedia. Putting the last two episodes in Season 5 finishes the 13 show pattern of the prior 4 seasons, and there is no verifiable reason to say anything other. That Season 6 thing has been bandied about forever, but not a single person has been able to show any real proof other than "I saw" or "somebody said." That's why we don't accept fan sites as reliable proof on Wikipedia. -- Elaich talk 13:51, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
Well then none of our arguments is acceptable, because you do not have any proof either. We should just do like the church did in the Middle Ages. NON-EXISTENT! Speeda psx (talk · contribs) 13:59, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
Found More proof: TV.com,TV.com News Speeda psx (talk · contribs) 14:04, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
This is an encyclopedia. Citations from official sources like Cartoon Network or Animation By Mistake will be accepted. Sources from fan sites or blog sites like TV.com are not sufficient. Since there has never been any official announcement of Season 6, only rumors propped up by fan sites and latched onto and promulgated by unofficial sites who are as bad as spreading rumors as the fan sites, Season 6 does not exist as far as this encyclopedia. Neither does the movie. Sorry if you have a hard time dealing with this, but you need to read up on what Wikipedia is and isn't. -- Elaich talk 03:51, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
Ok, I'm just gonna leave things like they are, you are STILL avoiding that you DO NOT have proof of your argument. Wikipedia has a lot of stuff wrong cause of discussions like this. I end my discussion, no hard feelings, see ya later! Speeda psx (talk · contribs) 17:29, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Wikipedia has a lot of things RIGHT because it does not allow overzealous editors to wish their will on the community based on rumors, questionable cites, etc. Other editors have supported this stance - and you didn't even take time to notice that I edited the article to mark the questionable episodes as "disputed." Or maybe you did notice that, and saw that you weren't going to impose your will. No hard feelings, but I have a feeling that you are going to have trouble. -- Elaich talk 05:06, 3 March 2009 (UTC) my

Sorry noticed that later. But in the end it was as I said: Ed, Edd n Eddy#Ed, Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show. Also If you check the e-mail proof, the sender is from AKA studios. Speeda psx (talk · contribs) 10:35, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Standard episode tables

I think it would be better if the episodes were listed in the same way as other shows. I've started this with the Season One page, and I want to know if this is a good idea. --UBracter (talk) 21:59, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, I've now completed the change. All episode pages are now in the standard format. --UBracter (talk) 04:48, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, UBracter...I tried to do that a while back and it didn't work...Tenk you veddy much. --Wack'd Talk to me!Admire my handiwork! 15:04, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

Why are 2 episodes being counted as one?

There are more than 69 episodes in the show, because currently 2 episodes are being counted as one throughout the seasons - e.g. "The Ed-Touchables" and "Nagged to Ed" are both considered as episode #1. Their plots are not related and usually air separately on reruns. 86.96.227.70 (talk) 10:58, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

Generally, shows with two fifteen-minute segments instead of one half-hour have the segments listed paired with the other segment they originally aired with. It's common practice.Tenk you veddy much. --Wack'd Talk to me!Admire my handiwork! 17:24, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

This is just an edit, but in the movie Double Dee states that the entire series is 130 episodes, 4 specials and a movie. This is confirmed by the blog on this link : http://www.the3eds.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=20493. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jiminycracken (talkcontribs) 18:35, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

Merge

There is no reason for the article to be split. Everything fits perfectly fine in this main list. TTN (talk) 20:09, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

It's 55k; splitting is not unreasonable. This page has three forms in its history: 1) the entire list 2) a table of episode titles (no summaries), with links to the season pages, and 3) a list of links to the season pages only, without episode titles - this was the result of the 2007 AFD. Gimmetrow 20:54, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
Merging the articles makes it overly long. The AfD overwhelmingly supported keeping these articles as they are. This consensus was from editors who are not a part of the EEnE community, and this makes their opinions valued, as they are not subject to the shortsightedness that fans sometimes develop. The articles should not be merged. -- Elaich talk 22:29, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
Don't want to invoke WP:WAX but yeah, Dexter's Laboratory's episode list weighs in at 64Kb, The Powerpuff Girls: 40Kb, Futurama: 48Kb, Foster's: 44Kb. Shall we split these up into neat little 10Kb chunks for the benefit of dial-up users or not being able to find things in such big lists? Splitting seems unreasonable as the only other animated shows doing this are Spongebob and The Simpsons where the justification of splits seems more reasonable due to the length of time which these have existed for and the cultural impact of both. treelo radda 23:43, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
Sounds like they're asking for a new RfM or AfD to me. The original AfD had a bunch of keeps with absolutely no reference to policy, but more to the point the idea was asking for deletion. On the other hand, the most common reasons for merging are:

  1. Duplicate - There are two or more pages on exactly the same subject and having the same scope.
  2. Overlap - There are two or more pages on related subjects that have a large overlap. Wikipedia is not a dictionary; there does not need to be a separate entry for every concept in the universe. For example, "Flammable" and "Non-flammable" can both be explained in an article on Flammability.
  3. Text - If a page is very short and is unlikely to be expanded within a reasonable amount of time, it often makes sense to merge it with a page on a broader topic. For instance, parents or children of a celebrity who are otherwise unremarkable are generally covered in a section of the article on the celebrity, and can be merged there.
  4. Context - If a short article requires the background material or context from a broader article in order for readers to understand it. For instance, minor characters from works of fiction are generally covered in a "List of characters in <work>", and can be merged there; see also WP:FICT.

If none of those apply to this case, then a merge for design reasons won't work. -- Logical Premise Ergo? 16:00, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

I support a merger. This is the first show that I see to not have a basic List of episodes on wikipedia. When you look at other shows, 55kB is a usual page size for a LoE, and thus doesn't warrant a split for size reason alone. – sgeureka tc 09:41, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Disputed

Since it is unclear where the last 2 episodes belong, and there is no proof one way or the other, I have set them aside as "disputed." Hopefully, this will satisfy everyone until there is something concrete one way or the other. -- Elaich talk 18:23, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

I can agree to that, I will try to find the interview. Another fact, Big Picture Show does exist, only thing left to do is for CN to air.
Proof http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/6479/eenebpsgj6.jpg
AnimatEdit: Since the cat's out of the bag, I'll add a little detail to that, courtesy of Kit from Earth2Edd. The movie was finally completed on December 19th. And since Hot-chocolate let us know that the movie wasn't due in CN's hands until January 1, CN probably didn't want to start working on the trailer and rearranging the schedule to fit the movie until then, which means we can STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT THE MOVIE NOT BEING AIRED YET. CN couldn't do anything without possessing the movie, after all.
So we can all sit back, relax, and await the glorious day the movie's release date is revealed.
I just got the CN Block Party issue that mentions the movie, HERE'S THE PLOT:
"Oh, Brother! Hold on to your Jawbreakers because Ed, Edd n Eddy are back this November [note: the date they give later in the article was proven to be false, so it may not be November] in a brand new feature-length movie! This time Eddy has gone too far and pulled a prank that has the whole neighborhood gang after him. And only one person can save him... his legendary, never seen before, older brother! Cartoon Network kicks off the fun with a 'Best of Ed, Edd n Eddy' marathon and wraps up the night with a HUGE movie event! So round up your buddies for this hilarious premiere on [date withheld because it has been changed] at 7:00 pm on Cartoon Network!"

We do not accept so called 'proof' from fansites on Wikipedia. The only sites that will be accepted is Cartoon Network and Animation By Mistake. Official sites.
Look at the image http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/6479/eenebpsgj6.jpg, It's from AKA employee(look at mail address).
What they re saying:

I don't see anything on those links but some blacked out boxes. Anyway, this changes nothing. Images can be Photoshopped. This is an encyclopedia. When AKA Animation and/or Cartoon Network makes an official announcement, that will be considered as fact. Nothing less. -- Elaich talk 13:49, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
Some of you guys have weird logic on Wiki.Image CAN be photoshopped, cause somebody bothered to do all the work to confirm the movie? I CAN hack the AKA site, so the AKA site is an unreliable resource too, same goes for CN.Let's just remove all the info, IT can be BOGUS...

Nazz Van Vartenshmere

{{editsemiprotected}} According to http://www.the3eds.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=20493&start=795, a blog that has been following the movie, Nazz's last name is either starts with Vart or Fart, but not Bart.

Not done: I have declined this request. Sorry, but a blog is not a reliable source, see WP:SPS for more information. If you can find a reliable source that can prove this information, I will happily make the change. Regards, The Earwig (Talk | Contribs) 22:08, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

Edtropolis (which is endorsed by AKA Cartoons) has confirmed "May I Have This Ed? / Look Before You Ed" as the sole sixth-season episode.

Also taking into account that Danny Antonucci has stated that one sixth-season episode was released (trying to remember the source) and the one in question was released a whole year after Season Five was over and done with, I really think this episode should go under a new heading. Tenk you veddy much. --Wack'd Talk to me!Admire my handiwork! 14:33, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

{{editsemiprotected}}

please correct the spelling error under season six, "premiered" is erroneously spelled "premired" and Danny Antonucci's is misspelled.

Original research

It seems that most if not all of this article is original research. The only footnote is to dialog in the episode. There are no other references. --Bejnar (talk) 06:02, 8 December 2009 (UTC)

Help! Please assist!

Yes I made a Template:Infobox Ed, Edd n Eddy episode. I probably shouldn't have, but I did, and now it's almost ready for actual use, except there's just one little design flaw (see Template to understand), so all I'm asking is for a little assistance in improving the template; it is my hope that we can one day employ my little Info box template.

Thanks you --Morahman7vn (talk) 03:46, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

Seems to have something to do with including the template within itself. If you remove that, or add a second close to the table, one problem goes away. Gimmetrow 03:55, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
Thanks that helped, but like you said, it only removes one problem; but that was a pretty big problem. Al least now we can use it to some degree.--Morahman7vn (talk) 05:35, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

Ed, Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show

{{editsemiprotected}}

That section is rather badly written. It's almost entirely jumbled into a couple run-on sentences.

Also, I was quite upset when I saw the claim that Eddy's brother was "sadistic". This is because it's never mentioned in the episode that he's sadistic, only that he's a bully; rather, this is a guess by the author as to why he picks on Eddy (original research).

Please change this:

Eddy's most ambitious scam ever goes awry, leaving the cul-de-sac nearly destroyed and the neighborhood kids (save for Sarah and Jimmy) battered, bruised and furious. They angrily pursue the Eds as they flee the cul-de-sac. Amidst the chaos, Eddy searches for the only person who can help them: his older brother. The Kankers join the chase when they learn that their "boyfriends" are in danger. Eddy's brother is finally found, and turns out to be a mean, sadistic bully who gets a thrill out of picking on Eddy. The neighborhood kids and the Kankers are so appalled by his brother's behavior, that they hold him hostage. While Eddy is continuously tortured by his brother. The neighborhood kids gang up and defeat Eddy's brother. After that, Eddy admits that he was using his brother as an excuse so he can be cool. The neighborhood kids, touched by Eddy's sudden sensitivity, forgive him and his friends invite them for jawbreakers at Kevin's house. During the credits, Jonny is left out because the Eds are now considered cool by the other kids of the cul-de-sac and that he is now considered the hated kid in the cul-de-sac and changes his identity from "Captain Melon-Head" to the "Villainous Gourd" to take revenge only to hear from Plank that the movie is over.
