Comments about the article

[edit]

Okay, from the top, working down:

• "East Carolina started organized football with the nickname Teachers" Started organized football, or first began playing in it?
• Is organized the correct term? What would make football unorganized?
• Unorganized football would be a group of students playing. The 1932 team had a coach and permission from the administration.
• Is it likely that the facts presented in the sentence, "East Carolina has played in over 700 games in a total of 71 seasons, 41 of which are in Division 1-A." will change quickly during the course of a season? If yes, is it guaranteed to be updated by a regular team of editors?
• I would want to keep this sentence "Statistics correct as of January 1, 2008, after the end of the 2007–08 college football season." in until the 2008-09 season is over. Than do a mass update.
• What is "bowl games", can it be linked? As an Englishman, I immediately thought of the superbowl, knowing all the while that that's not the case
• Wikilinked
• "Steve Logan is the all-time leader in games coached, years coached, and wins," I don't think "all time" is necessary, though if it's been used in similar articles it's fine to keep. Could also put "...leader in the number of games coached,..."
• That is the same format as used in the NFL head coaches FL.
• "Of the 19 Pirate coaches, two, Mike McGee and Pat Dye,": "two" isn't necessary, as the two names are immediately given
• Fixed
• Per Colors, you should use a text marker as well as shading tables to convey information. An asterisk, dagger or double-dagger, or caret next to the coach's name will suffice, and then include it in the key.
• Done
• The dark purple makes it almost impossible to see references 9 and 10.
• Is there a way to change the color of the reference? Is the reference needed? That shade of purple is the official purple, so I don't want to change it.
• text would display white text, although I'm not sure if this would make the reference text white, or the ref number. Try it out. Alternatively, can the references be moved? -- αŁʰƏЩ @ 02:41, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
• That didnt work. It changed the reference itself white. Moved cites to the notes section.

That's all from me. If these changes are made I would support with no further comments when taken to WP:FLC. Another great list to join the others. -- αŁʰƏЩ @ 01:54, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
