Sophie and Luke Willmott-Brown or Fi and Luke Browning

[edit]

I just wanted to ask, before it turns into an edit war, which style of name we use now? Grangehilllover (talk) 20:37, 22 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

As the 2017 Fi is a regular character while the original Sophie was a recurring character I would be more inclined to go with Fi, but because she was introduced in 1987 which is the year of this page, it would make more sense to put Sophie as the section title. However, I'm still working on an article draft and it will stay at Fi Browning, unless there are more developments in time. — anemoneprojectors 00:04, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
She still gets called Sophie and Luke is still Luke. Like Michelle's stalker, who was credited as Nosebleed Man then Tom when we and the character found out, when others find out, she could change to Sophie Willmott-Brown again in the credits. I think it should be Sophie Willmott-Brown as 1987 is the year her character was introduced. It's like Bex Fowler-we don't change her to Bex Fowler on the page because that's the name she goes by. Rebecca is who she was introduced as, same as Fi was introduced as Sophie. Grangehilllover (talk) 08:04, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
And I've added a ref to the page. Faulkner revealed she's not staying. Not sure about Eyre and Astill. Grangehilllover (talk) 09:30, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Personally I'd be more inclined to go with Fi and Luke Browning. Although their original name was Sophie/Luke Willmott-Brown, articles have said that they took their mothers maiden name. The audience also know Fi better by Fi Browning and her and Luke have been credited with those names even after being revealed as Willmott-Brown's kids. I'd recommend keeping it as Fi and Luke Browning unless a change is reflected in the credits. Tomski12 (talk) 13:53, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I do see your point @Tomski12:. I guess I'm swayed towards the Browning style. I guess I can see it from both sides, but in articles they are Brownings and they're more memorable as that, rather than children in the 80s. I'll change it to Browning if that's fine. My opinions have been a bit mixed. Grangehilllover (talk) 09:14, 24 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Grangehilllover I can see the argument for Willmott-Brown and I'd agree if they were credited as that even after the reveal, but as they're sticking with Browning it seems the logical decision. Should we change it then? Tomski12 (talk) 09:20, 24 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Tomski12: I've changed it already. They're still credited as Fi and Luke Browning. There's been no change in that and these big storylines have happened to them as adults as the Brownings, unlike as children playing with other children. Grangehilllover (talk) 09:57, 24 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It seems a bit weird because the character introduced in 1987 was Sophie Willmott-Brown, not Fi Browning, even though it's the same character. But we would go by the "common name", which would be Fi Browning and Luke Browning (and for Bex Fowler is probably Bex Fowler). — anemoneprojectors 11:18, 24 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Tina Hopkins

[edit]

The infobox states she made her first appearance in 1987 and her last in 1986. Can anyone clarify the correct dates. Tomski12 (talk) 23:48, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It should be 1987 not 1986. I've fixed it now. Grangehilllover (talk) 06:53, 24 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ediz Izzet/Henry Power

[edit]

Screenshots to show the actor who played Murat Osman was Ediz Izzet, not Eddie Izzet and the actor who played Luke Willmott-Brown in 1987 was Henry Power, not Henry Povey. 86.136.75.158 (talk) 19:09, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, if it hasn't been changed already it should be. — anemoneprojectors 17:04, 8 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Fi and Luke deserve their own pages?

[edit]

I think Fi and Luke both deserve their own pages, the characters are thirty years old and have appeared throughout several years and are the children of one of Eastenders' most known villains. I think they deserve their own articles. Connorguy99 (talk) 15:27, 28 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe Fi deserves her own article but I don’t think Luke is notable enough yet. Aacfsftw (talk) 12:25, 29 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Move discussion in progress

[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:List of EastEnders characters (1985) which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 20:49, 5 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
