[edit]How do we define Major vs. Minor characters? Some set number of appearances? Appearances in multiple seasons? I like "Major" as a heading better than "More than 10" but we should at least agree on some sort of criteria. I suggest that for now we stick with 10 appearances to qualify as a Major character. It would be nice to find a list on a reliable source instead though, since otherwise classifying the characters ourselves is borderline original research.
I don't agree with sub-categorization of minor characters. Simply alphabetizing them would make it easier to find a given character, as well as providing stability in case of plot changes.
Finally, giving each minor character a heading and then immediately bolding their name on the next line is visually awkward. -- Intractable (talk) 04:07, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
I would define major characters as characters with 10 or more appearances who aren't confined to one specific storyline on the show and have major roles in the show's plotlines.
In regards to providing stability in case of plot changes, if the show does return for an eighth season, it's likely it won't be until 2011. So, I think we're safe on the stability front for a couple of years. Fernandobouregard (talk)
-- 10 is nice round number but its arbitrary. If they have a listing in IMDb then that makes them notable. Knobbly talk 09:45, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
