A note
[edit]hey folks, I created this page and would be happy to see more documented Close subjects added. I got most of the names from Chuck Close: Daguerreotypes, which is super handy -- Close tends to give his portraits titles which include only the subject's first name, but the fine folks who published the Daguerreotypes book include the last name in parentheses.
On the original Chuck Close page, Michael Phelps was listed as a subject but I can't find any documentation of this. Does anyone know of a reference documenting that Close did a portrait of Phelps?

- I think a rename is in order, something like list of subjects depicted by Chuck Close? Are there any comparable lists for other artists? Best way to improve the list at this point would be to annotate with dates, a brief explanation of who the subject is (i.e., a model, another artist, etc.) and make it sortable. postdlf (talk) 17:58, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
- Yes I agree. The list could perhaps be turned into a table with columns including the name of the work, the date it was created, the full name of the subject, and an indication of who the subject is. The table could be in chronological order maybe? Invertzoo (talk) 00:03, 28 July 2013 (UTC)
