Miriam Angeline Works Young (1806-32) is one of the wives identified at the U.S. Library of Congress. She is set up to be a creator or subject in the catalog, but there are no such records.
I strongly believe that Sarah B. Alley (wife of Joseph Bates Noble) needs to be added as another plural wife of Brigham Young. As George D. Smith, owner of Signature Books, pointed out in his Mormon History Association paper, "Another Nauvoo Wife of Brigham Young," Young recorded in his journal that on October 8, 1844, he was "wedded and sealed" to both Alley and Clarissa Blake. The current list includes only Blake. I have checked my transcription of Young's journal for that date, and in fact, Young did make that statement. The footer should not include metadata or categories for any particular Young wife (as the list of Joseph Smith's wives has included until this hour [2]). Those features are appropriate in biographies, and personal redirect pages such as Emily Dow Partridge.
The most convenient point of entry to those biographical data available at the U.S. Library of Congress, and to the WorldCat and LCCatalogs, is viaf.org, where any entry with the U.S. flag icon provides LCCN for the person.
I've read through quite a few of the article that Wikipedia has on Mormonism and the various LDS churches. In many of them, there's a picture of an Ira Eldrige and his three wives. I did a superficial google-search and could find nothing about the man. His picture makes no sense, it should be changed to more fitting ones for each article. However, I don't know enough about the topic to chose those pictures.
Hi, I think you are talking about the template image on the "Mormonism and Polygamy" template. I helped with adding that photo to the template. We selected that photo because it depicts a Mormon man with his multiple wives. There actually aren't that many photos of just the husband and his wives, so even though he's not particularly famous, we went with that image because it clearly represents polygamy. Since the template goes on multiple pages that are relevant to polygamy, the image appears on them. It would be nice if we could get more photos of Brigham Young with his wives. If you know of them, please feel free to add them. If you find a photo of him with his wives, but can't figure out how to upload it, I'm happy to help.
