Merge with Chronology of Australian federal parliaments

[edit]

I propose to merge Chronology of Australian federal parliaments into List of Australian federal elections. They appear to share much of the same information but require twice the updating in the event of a new election (such as now). sroc (talk) 10:15, 8 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Disagree: There is some overlap, because elections and parliaments have an intimate constitutional relationship - but not so much as to warrant a merge. The existence of duplicated information is not a reason in itself to merge articles. Duplication is an inherent feature of a comprehensive encyclopedic coverage of related topics. The Chronology article is primarily focussed on the Parliaments, and many of the dates shown there have nothing whatever to do with general elections. -- Jack of Oz ... speak! ... 11:26, 8 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why do we need both a list article and a chronology article? Seems very overlapish... Timeshift (talk) 02:27, 23 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

LNP

[edit]

As 5 of the LNP attend the National caucus meetings and 16 attend the Liberal caucus meetings, should this be indicated on the table under the 2010 line? Orderinchaos 07:47, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Keating's photo needs replacement

[edit]

Every prime minister on this list has a roughly contemporary photo except Paul Keating. The photo currently used on this page was obviously taken decades after he was prime minister. For the sake of accuracy and consistency, his photo should be changed to something from the time of his prime ministership. I can't make this change myself because I'm unfamiliar with using Wikipedia. (122.106.207.125 (talk) 13:06, 7 May 2018 (UTC))[reply]
