You are correct that it has not nearly enough notability on its own, should have mention here. Judgesurreal777 (talk) 06:08, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This page

[edit]

This page is just crammed thick with original research. Lots42 (talk) 12:43, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Even the citations regarding what prototypes the various characters are based on seem largely to rely on one journalist's inferences. Granted, some of them seem pretty obvious to those of us familiar with the older films, but that's not good enough for Wikipedia. What would be needed would be citations to Myers himself detailing how each character was conceived. Failing that, the "based on" lines should probably be removed. The image Image:No 2 & Alotta Fagina.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Fook Mi and Fook Yu

[edit]

Shouldn't it be noted that the names of both of these characters are a blatantly obvious sexual innuendo? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.174.139.22 (talk) 23:11, 5 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If it's "blatantly obvious", then where is the need to mention it? WilliamSommerwerck (talk) 01:52, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Revision

[edit]

I did a complete revision and reorganization of this list, so it should be a bit easier now. To the owner of the article: if you liked it better the other way, or just don't want people fixing it like I did, then feel free to just change it back. Alotta Fagina

[edit]

I'm really sorry if this is not the correct way to edit. I just wanted to say that yes, Alotta Fagina is an obvious play on words or 'gag name' for a lot of vagina, but which IN TURN is a play on words for Pussy Galore. I don't know the correct term but it's like a gag name + play on words in one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.78.26.22 (talkcontribs) 05:58, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

womanish attitude?

[edit]

What, exactly, is "an extremely womanish attitude"? I've never heard the term. Do you mean that Austin and his father are not "conventionally" masculine, and are subtly feminine? WilliamSommerwerck (talk) 01:51, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

By that I mean he has an attitude that makes him extremely excited by women, of course that are attractive. I don't think it's a real term, and I had gotten that from some other site, so I'm not the one who came up with it. Thanks for pointing that out, so I can fix it and prevent anymore confusion. Based on

[edit]

Some of the "Based on" claims under the characters seem a little questionable and I think should be backed up with sources. For instance it is difficult to see how Alec Trevelyan and Franz Oberhauser are cited as two of the based ons for Dr Evil. It is fair to say that Dr Evil is clearly primarily based on the film version of Ernst Stavro Blofeld and I can see there are also obvious similarities with the film version of Dr. No, but there are no obvious links to the Oberhauser mentioned by Ian Fleming and the film version was created several years after Dr Evil appeared. Similarly while there are plenty of other Bond villains Dr Evil resembles at times (such as Hugo Drax and Karl Stromberg) I am struggling to see how Trevelyan clearly influenced the character. "Penelope Smallbone" for Vanessa Kensington seems dubious as well, while saying Felicity Shagwell is based on Tiffany Case also seems dodgy as she is a CIA agent while Tiffany Case is a crook. Equally Foxxy Cleopatra has little in common with Rosie Carver other than the fact both are from African American backgrounds. I think this requires thought. To not merge given arguments of independent notability with no consensus against this view and stale discussion. Klbrain (talk) 05:28, 30 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Only 3 sources. No evidence of independent notability. JDDJS (talk to mesee what I've done) 03:13, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If the character has sufficient sources, exactly which criteria of inclusion does this fail? GNG is pretty specific in requiring multiple reliable sources with significant coverage, and that is all. What other criteria are you claiming this fails? As far as I know. WP:GNG the mother of all notability policies, which all other sub-guidelines derive their authority. As for the nom, there is no such thing as "independent notability" in policy. Either it is notable, or it isn't. Dennis Brown - 23:54, 20 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Frau Farbissna

[edit]

I think she is equally Rosa Klebb and Irma Bunt. Her militaristic nature is Klebb. Her German and romance with her boss is Bunt. Emperor001 (talk) 00:50, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
