What is needed
[edit]Any suggestion of stuff that should be added or sourced ? KrebMarkt 15:49, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
Copied from talk:Aria (manga) :
- Done, at least the basic work. Feel free to spackle any stray holes I've left in my wake, and paint the walls and ceiling. And I'm pretty sure we need to add some more referencing to the list lead. —Quasirandom (talk) 15:40, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
- (If we ever split off the characters as a list, we're going to have a tonne of wikilinks to clean up.) —Quasirandom (talk) 15:47, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
- Great job, i still don't know what is missing to the chapter list to be a B rated list.
- Even after splitting the manga chapters we are still at 131KB. So i guess soundtracks are next but i want to discuss how much of the soundtrack we should split.
- *Case 1 Soundtracks only : it have semblance of lead and there are development materials thanks to the DVD bonuses. We can made a B article out off it. The main article will be at 90KB after split.
- *Case 2 Whole audio (soundtracks + Drama + Radio): No balanced lead and development as we don't have much materials to cover the drama and the radio CDs but we can gain more room main article size being down to 79KB.
- I'm not very motivated to split characters as doing it right is very tricky so i think that we may need a peer review at some point because size issues is hurting badly. I know that WP:SIZE is prose only but still the load time and the edit time is loooooonnnnnng. KrebMarkt 16:13, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
- The split looks pretty good, but there are some issues that need to be addressed before the article is a decent B-class and ready for an FL run (right now, I'd say it's a high C):
- The lead could use some more content, particularly in regards to the anime adaptations - who produced them, how many episodes, what station where they originally aired on, and were they picked up by any English-language licensors. Besides that, some dates for first and last tankoubon releases wouldn't hurt, and there's a massive amount of soundtrack/audio drama info - add some basic summary of it.
- Consider sectioning the list between Aqua and Aria, and use the
|Series=
parameter of {{Graphic novel list}} to distinguish the volume numbering. - The fact that chapters are called "Navigation"s is noted in the lead, so there's no need to have it before every chapter ("Navigation ##.").
- Summaries for Aria volumes 8-12 should be added, but I don't think they're strictly necessary for B-class.
- And of course, getting someone to copyedit it never hurts.
- Also, how many Aqua- and Aria-related articles are there now? It may be time to consider a navbox and/or category. 「ダイノガイ千?!」(Dinoguy1000) 20:22, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
- Right now Main article, anime episode list & manga chapters list. 3 Articles.
- I propose to fix the chapter list first to B and then think about the splitting the soundtracks. Chapters summaries are stalled due to the pace of release outside Japan (Vol 4 in US, Vol 7 in France) and the pace of the scanlation around chap 37-38.
- By the do you have any idea where to put things like that one Aria V4 out off stock, reprint ? KrebMarkt 20:45, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
- Hmm... I'm not really convinced it's worth adding, but if it is to be added, it should be placed in the lead with the other English licensing information. 「ダイノガイ千?!」(Dinoguy1000) 22:09, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
- Not sure either but i will keep it under my sleeves. In some aspects we have more information than we can digest and implement in the articles. KrebMarkt 22:16, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
- I think the vol 4 out of stock thing is so transitory a piece of news to not add. It *was* published on the scheduled date -- just underprinted. —Quasirandom (talk) 03:17, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

- How does the Section= parameter work? And, yeah, completing the summaries is exactly what's needed, but as KerbMarkt says, till either official or unofficial translations get further, or we find a Japanese reader, we're stuck where we are. (Half of the next volume is out in scans, but I won't add the summary till they complete the volume.) —Quasirandom (talk) 03:19, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- Have a look at List of Blood+ chapters and List of Blood+ light novels, both of which use the Series parameter. In this case, since Aria is the longer series (by far), I'd use it on the two volumes of Aqua, in which case you'd simply use
|Series=Aqua
(or|Series=aqua
, depending on whether you want capitalization). You would then be able to link to the two volumes of Aqua with something like[[List of Aria chapters#Aquavol1]]
「ダイノガイ千?!」(Dinoguy1000) 19:04, 11 February 2009 (UTC)- One table likes now or two separate tables ? Series parameter isn't required in the one table case Aqua series Aria series putting Aqua or Aria along the volume number created de facto unique navigation tags albeit the the weirds tags name. In two tables yes the Series parameter will be relevant. Now the question is one of two tables ? KrebMarkt 19:25, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- Well, as I said before, the list probably needs to be sectioned between Aqua and Aria. If this happens, two tables will be required anyways. 「ダイノガイ千?!」(Dinoguy1000) 20:43, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- We can drop the Series parameter for two tables if we keep Aqua or Aria along the volume number. In addition, i want to avoid some lame writing between the two tables as the existence of those separated series is a change of editor already explained in the lead section. KrebMarkt 21:21, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- Done Can target a series with either #Aqua or #Aria and target a volume with #AquaVol02 or #AriaVol11. --KrebMarkt 08:26, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

Noting this here since volume summaries are one of those things needed: I'd just like to say that chapter 53 has been the hardest one so far to summarize succinctly. There's two story plots braided together, but it also touches on two larger series arcs -- and that's leaving aside the difficultly of describing what happens with Cait Sith objectively, without interpretation. My goal has been 2 sentences/60 words per chapter, but my current draft is still over 100 words in 4 sentences. —Quasirandom (talk) 19:40, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
- KrebMarkt gives some cider to Quasirandom. Feel better now? ;)
- That's for Aria slow build up with everything concluding & colliding in roller coaster fashion in the lasts chapters. "A l'impossible nul n'est tenu" meaning you have no obligation to do something impossible. --KrebMarkt 20:22, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
- Thankee *clink*
- You're right, it's part of that slow buildup. I fully expect the summary of the last volume will be at least as long as the first, and that this was the first hint of that. —Quasirandom (talk) 22:12, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
Dabbling with linecolor param.
[edit]Here have a look to my user page
I find it rather so-so but still i want more opinion
Thanks. --KrebMarkt 14:20, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
- I find it kinda distracting, actually. Having the different seasons distinct helps with navigation, so you know where you are, but this ... blurs the line. —Quasirandom (talk) 14:41, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
- That what i thought but i had to ask. --KrebMarkt 15:30, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
Tpop pub dates
[edit]Based on this article, I'm removing the Tokyopop pub dates for volume 5 and 6 from the article. The clarification at the bottom makes it clear the March 09 date for v5 has been rescheduled for later due to layoffs, but as the Tpop website doesn't yet have an announced date (and Amazon isn't shipping the volume yet) we don't know when. So those dates are out of date, and need to go. —Quasirandom (talk) 20:37, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
- Aria vol 8 has rescheduled at least 4 times in France and now there is no publication date anymore. I'm not surprised with the TP issue. --KrebMarkt 14:50, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
- Feh. Publishers. —Quasirandom (talk) 18:05, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
