Turkey
[edit]I don't have any sources for this, but I'm pretty sure that Turkey should be listed as a 'future operator'. I don't think that any Boeing 737AEW&Cs have been delivered to the countries which have ordered the planes. Nick-D (talk) 00:27, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
- Actually my source states that the first Turkish B737AEW&C was delivered in March 2009. Do you have sources which deny this? --Eurocopter (talk) 18:08, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
- Australia is the launch customer (and has funded much of the aircraft's development) but is yet to accept any aircraft from Boeing as they're yet to meet the contractual specifications. That reference says that the aircraft have arrived in Turkey for modifications (much like the Australian aircraft have been upgraded in Australia) and that deliveries are expected in 2010. Differences between the sources may be due to Boeing repeatedly bumping the delivery date back while it tries to fix the radar system (this is apparently almost done). - Turkey should be a future operator and i have changed that. The planes are delivered as they are converted in Turkey however just like the Australian aircraft the MESA radar is currently not at operational status. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Takavar92 (talk • contribs) 16:22, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
rename
[edit]This page should be named "List of airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft operators" as AWACS is a specific term for one specific system - of which most of the aircraft listed are not equipped with. This is in alignment with the main page for the topic which is Airborne early warning and control.NiD.29 (talk) 17:27, 13 May 2012 (UTC)
Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page
[edit]Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
