I am interested in testing for Liquid metal assisted cracking and would like to know if anyone else has achieved LMAC simply in a Laboratory environment. My particular interest is with zinc melts and steel, but am interested in all combinations. Also want to ensure I have the most recent papers about this phenomenon

Will melting fix it?
[edit]I don't think the article addresses this: If I use Field's metal, mercury, or Galinstan and inject it through a small orifice, I guess it may suffer from LME, right ? Then, will melting it, restore it, or will it's LME become cumulative, without any remedy ?
