Proposed move of LHC dab page

[edit]

I've proposed moving LHC to LHC (disambiguation) to allow LHC to redirect to Large Hadron Collider with an appropriate {{this}} transclusion. I'm notifying editors of each of the pages linked from the current dab page to help generate discussion from interested parties. The discussion can be found at Talk:LHC#Requested move. -- Mark Chovain 01:11, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Linköpings HCLinköping HC – This is a secret minor change. It's like when Färjestads BK changed their name to Färjestad BK. It doesn't affect media and press writings because they only refer to the clubs as "Linköping" and "Färjestad" in both cases. So nobody reacts or makes an official announcement of it. Linköping Hockey Club has secretly gone over to using the terms "Linköping HC" and "Linköping Hockey Club" on both their official website and Twitter account, without making an announcement. On the bottom of the official website you can see that the club is now named "Linköping Hockey Club". The Swedish Ice Hockey Association has changed their labelling of the club to "Linköping HC" as well. It's only a trivial change, hence why the lack of an announcement. I'm making this request to confirm the correctness of this move, since a speedy category rename request for one of the categories with this main article was contested. 37KZ (talk) 02:42, 6 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Other sources too use the term "Linköping HC", see here, here and here. 37KZ (talk) 02:59, 6 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It's a very minor change, probably to emphasise "Färjestad" or "Linköping" instead of the "hockey" part or to indicate that there are other hockey clubs with the names "Färjestad" or "Linköping", hence why no announcement. They just dropped the "s" off the first part of the names. 37KZ (talk) 14:01, 10 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
