2012 U.S. Senate election
[edit]While I've read the Honolulu Star-Advertiser article that likely prompted this edit about Lingle running against Dan Akaka in the 2012 elections, I don't think it's appropriate to mention it in the article until Lingle herself makes a formal announcement of her candidacy. Lead - problems
[edit]Is that really the most prominent thing about her, her "token" qualities? That seems incredibly offensive, that she would be considered important mainly for being a Jewish female Republican, and not for anything she did.98.222.213.161 (talk) 23:45, 17 March 2011 (UTC)
- If you want to change the introduction, feel free to do so. Just make sure you keep it neutral and have a citation for any new information you add. Musashi1600 (talk) 04:39, 18 March 2011 (UTC)
Civil Unions
[edit]Can we add more info on her Civil Union veto? Many people saw the manner in which she did it to be very spiteful and hateful. She not only vetoed the bill, but she even invited the Chief Justice that ruled in the 90's. It was basically a slap in his face. I don't think that kind of personality trait should be ignored for someone who wants to be 1 out of 100 Senators. 75.245.50.160 (talk) 10:56, 6 February 2012 (UTC)
- Verifiable information from reliable sources can be added from a neutral point of view. —ADavidB 12:30, 6 February 2012 (UTC)
